Traveling gives me a chance to kick back, relax and enjoy life. For me, a big part of the travel experience involves food, because I love to eat! The one thing I look for in any place I visit is a good old tender juicy steak. Whenever I’m in Manila (which had become almost a weekly occurrence), I always look forward to a meal at Bondi & Bourke.
Their Creekstone Steak is simply to die for. It weighs at least a kilo, and you’d need a couple of friends to help you finish off the damn thing (and foot the bill, too). The chef comes to our table and asks us how we want our steak done. We say the usual: split into two thinner 500g slices, cooked to medium. The cooking process takes 30 minutes.
The steak arrives on our table in two separate hot plates, neatly cut and served with arugula and fries (or mashed potatoes, if you prefer). Immediately, you’ll notice how this steak is evenly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Each bite almost melts in your mouth, sending you off to a steak nirvana. I’ve yet to encounter another steakhouse with that superpower.
To cap our meal, we were given two delicious desserts, (insert their names here), compliments of the chef.
